Accreditations

At Cleanie, we’re proud to be recognised as one of the industry’s leading cleaning companies, with a reputation that is built on quality, integrity, and accountability. Cleanie holds an extensive range of prestigious certifications, including SafeContractor Approved status, London Living Wage Employer accreditation, and membership with both the Domestic Cleaning Alliance and the British Cleaning Council. We are also fully certified to ISO standards.

● ISO 9001 – Quality Management

● ISO 14001 – Environmental Management

● ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health & Safety

These certifications reflect Cleanie’s commitment to excellence, sustainability, and the wellbeing of our people and clients.

Living Wage Employer

At Cleanie, we take pride in paying our cleaning professionals above the National and London Living Wage. Inspired by the Living Wage Campaign, in April 2016 the government introduced a higher minimum wage rate for all staff over 25 years of age – named ‘the National Living Wage.’ Controversially, this wage is not calculated according to what employees need to live. Therefore, the real Living Wage rates are higher because they are independently-calculated based on what people need to get by.

ISO Certifications:

A Mark of Excellence At Cleanie, we’re proud to hold multiple internationally recognised ISO certifications, reflecting our commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability. These prestigious certifications, awarded through rigorous audits, confirm that our systems and operations exceed global best practices. These certifications are difficult to achieve and even harder to maintain and prove our commitment to transparency, excellence, and accountability. They provide our clients with the peace of mind that Cleanie is a cleaning provider they can trust.

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management

This certification reflects our commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality service and driving continuous improvement across all areas of our operations.

ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management

Where Clean Meets Perfection

Living Wage Employer

At Cleanie, we’re proud to pay our employees above both the national and London living wage. Although the government brought in the new National Living Wage in 2016 to increase minimum pay for over-25s, it still falls short of reflecting the true cost of living.

For this reason, we pay our employees the Real Living Wage - a level that is independently calculated according to what people genuinely need to live comfortably. In doing so, we aim to support the financial security and the mental and physical wellbeing of our workforce.

By meeting the true needs of our employees, we benefit from a highly motivated workforce and enjoy better staff retention. When our team feels valued and supported, it translates into more engaged and committed staff, lower staff turnover, and consistently high standards, benefitting both our business and our clients.

SafeContractor Accredited

Cleanie is proud to be accredited by SafeContractor under the SSIP and PAS91 schemes, meeting the highest standards and verifying our commitment to health and safety, equal opportunities, diversity, and environmental responsibility.

This comprehensive accreditation process ensures that we proactively identify and manage risks while consistently adhering to best practices across all key operational areas. For our clients, it’s a trusted mark of assurance and proof that we meet legal and regulatory obligations within their supply chain and operate to the highest standards. Ultimately, SafeContractor accreditation streamlines procurement, improves safety, and strengthens long-term partnerships that are built on trust and reliability.

Institute of Workplace & Facilities Management (IWFM)

Since its relaunch in 2018 (formerly BIFM), the Institute of Workplace & Facilities Management (IWFM) has set the gold standard for facilities management professionalism. Developed in collaboration with industry stakeholders, experts, and professional standards writers, IWFM’s framework assesses the skills, knowledge, and competence required at all levels of facilities management, from entry-level positions to senior strategic hires.

By aligning with internationally recognised IWFM standards, Cleanie demonstrates a commitment to professionalism, structured career development, and consistently high-quality service our clients can rely on. These standards demonstrate compliance and consistency, empowering our teams to innovate, lead, project-manage effectively, and deliver a high-quality service that is delivered with confidence.

Domestic Cleaning Alliance

Cleanie is a proud member of the Domestic Cleaning Alliance (DCA), the UK’s only dedicated trade association for the domestic cleaning industry. As part of the British Cleaning Council, the DCA aims to raise industry standards, promote ethical business practices for cleaners and support them in industry training and professional development, working to enhance professional standards within the cleaning industry. Cleanie’s membership is a testament to our dedication to quality, compliance and transparency, providing assurance to our clients that we are fully insured and a reputable cleaning service provider.

British Institute of Cleaning Science

The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) is the UK’s largest independent body dedicated to improving professional standards in the cleaning industry. Since 1961, BICSc has led the way in raising the standards within the cleaning industry through education, accreditation and skills development.

With over 60 years of expertise, the institute provides accredited training that empowers our staff by providing them with the knowledge, confidence, and the latest industry standards training for ongoing learning and development. By upholding BICSc standards, we provide our clients with the peace of mind that our cleaning professionals are trained to the highest of standards to provide reliable, high-quality yet efficient cleaning service.

Ethical Company Accredited

At Cleanie, we’re proud to be an Ethical Company Accredited business, which reflects our deep commitment to corporate social responsibility. This respected accreditation recognises high standards in sustainability, how we treat our employees, and how we interact with our clients and suppliers transparently. By achieving ethical accreditation, we’ve earned the trust of our clients, and it reinforces our promise to operate with integrity, fairness, and purpose.

It is also a driving force for Cleanie to continually raise the bar in every area of the business to deliver exceptional client service while making a positive and lasting impact.
